Thankful for the Little Things (in Tech)
Thanksgiving's around the corner, and yeah, I'm grateful for the big stuff — new clients, successful projects, finally taking that long-overdue vacation.
But you know what I'm really thankful for?
The stupid-small tech conveniences that make my day just a little bit easier.
Like opening my garage door from my watch because I'm too lazy to walk around the house to the door I came from.
Getting that quiet ping that my backups and other automations ran successfully overnight.
3D printing that one random thing I can't find at any store but desperately need.
Seeing that email that my cron jobs completed.
These aren't earth-shattering innovations. They're not going to make headlines.
But they matter.
Because here's the thing — these small conveniences compound. They give us leverage. They free up mental space. They let us focus on what actually moves the needle in our businesses and our lives.
And the best part? The barrier to entry has never been lower. Whether you're a solo founder building something from scratch or running a 500-person operation, you can take advantage of the tools and technologies available to us today — from Raspberry Pis to artificial intelligence. You can solve your own problems. You can turn a blank screen into something that creates real value, even a billion-dollar business.
We live in an era where anyone with curiosity and a bit of scrappiness can build solutions that used to require entire teams or wasn't even possible due to tech limitations.
That's pretty wild when you stop and think about it.
So this Thanksgiving, I'm grateful for the little tech wins. The ones that don't make the pitch deck but make my days bearable.
What about you? What small piece of technology are you most thankful for this year?
Drop it in the comments — I'd love to hear what's making your life easier. And if this resonates, give it a repost or reach out. Always happy to connect with fellow business owners and tech enthusiasts who appreciate the small stuff.
