AGENTOS DOCS / REFERENCE

Troubleshooting

Most problems can be found in the server log. Start there, then look for your symptom below.

First steps

agentos server status # is the server running?
agentos server logs # watch the live log
agentos server restart # restart and reload config

Server & web UI

The server won't start

  • Check agentos server logs or ~/.agentos/server.log.
  • Make sure nothing else is using port 3456, or change the port in ~/.agentos/server.json.

The web UI asks for activation again

  • Your certificate may have expired, been revoked, or gone unverified for more than 30 days. Restore network access to Symbient AI, or enter a new token.

Models

No models appear

  • Confirm Ollama is running: ollama list
  • Check the host URL in Workspace Settings or MODEL.md.
  • Pull a model if you don't have one: ollama pull qwen3
  • For OpenAI-compatible providers, check the base URL (it usually ends in /v1) and the API key.

Replies are slow, cut off, or ignore tools

  • Try a larger or tool-capable model, and check that the context size in MODEL.md matches the model.
  • If the context fills up quickly, run /compact. AgentOS also compacts automatically at 80%.

Jobs & schedules

  • Jobs never run: in supervised mode they wait for approval. Check the Jobs page, or switch to /mode 2.
  • A job was marked failed after 15 minutes: it reached the job timeout. Raise jobTimeoutMinutes if the work really takes longer.
  • Scheduled tasks didn't fire: the server must be running at that time. Turn on Auto-start, and check the heartbeat interval.

Network

  • The agent can't reach the internet: if you're behind a corporate proxy, set it in Global Settings → Proxy.
  • The phone can't connect: both devices must be on the same network. Allow AgentOS through the firewall on private networks, and pair again if the computer's IP address changed.

Browser & desktop control

  • Debug mode can't connect: make sure the browser was started with --remote-debugging-port=9222, the port matches Global Settings, and no firewall is blocking it.
  • The extension isn't connecting: the URL must be ws://localhost:<port>/__cdp_bridge__, and the server must be running. Look for CDP Bridge: Chrome extension connected in the log.
  • Playwright says "No usable browser found": install Google Chrome or Microsoft Edge.
  • Input or accessibility control does nothing: some apps running as Administrator block automation. Run AgentOS at the same privilege level as the target app. On macOS, grant Accessibility permission.

Contacting support

In Global Settings → Server Logs, click the button to email diagnostics. This sends a report with your configuration summary (secrets are not included) and recent errors to Lucus Labs support. You can also reach us through the contact form. Please include your AgentOS version and what you were doing when the problem happened.
